In the 11th minute José Serrizuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Baraquiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Karol Kosowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Mergildo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Cristian Mergildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 34 minutes Bendito Sea El Fernet's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adamantios Geronimidis who took care of the corner kick. 36 minutes into the match, Karol Kosowski notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo. Cristian Mergildo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. LANUS from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. LANUS's goalkeeper Cristian Mergildo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Mergildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adamantios Geronimidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bendito Sea El Fernet's Bernardo Baraquiel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Bendito Sea El Fernet from getting a goal against them. When Bendito Sea El Fernet's Karol Kosowski in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. In the 68thth minute of the game Karol Kosowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Karol Kosowski put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cristian Mergildo. C.A. LANUS were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Bendito Sea El Fernet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adamantios Geronimidis took the corner. The corner led C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardo Baraquiel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that José Serrizuela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Baraquiel was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bendito Sea El Fernet's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adamantios Geronimidis was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. LANUS's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that José Serrizuela got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernardo Baraquiel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Per-Åke Saâdallah kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Donato Bidari made a great header on Bendito Sea El Fernet's corner, it was just that C.A. LANUS's Cristian Mergildo managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Kosowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the C.A. LANUS defense, Karol Kosowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Mergildo. The C.A. LANUS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Mergildo should have stopped the shot. 97 minutes into the game, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Karol Kosowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Mergildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. C.A. LANUS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bendito Sea El Fernet had won, even though C.A. LANUS had held more of the ball.
