In the 5thth minute of the game Salvador Perfecto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Unión's Artur Malewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Shi Qian Peng cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Anastasio Eguerdi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Salvador Perfecto in the 16th minute. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Esquipula Bouzon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Artur Malewicz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Qian Peng in the 18th minute of play forced DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalkeeper Anastasio Eguerdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Shi Qian Peng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anastasio Eguerdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 24thth minute of the game Shi Qian Peng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Anastasio Eguerdi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Malewicz made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Nicolas Demario sent off a good shot on target. Artur Malewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Demario's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Anastasio Eguerdi came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Unión's Shi Qian Peng. But to his dismay, Shi Qian Peng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 39 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Unión's Shi Qian Peng sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Eguerdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregorio Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Conrado de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Club Atlético Unión were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esquipula Bouzon was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Esquipula Bouzon managed to get in a good position for a shot. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's supporters rose to their feet, but Esquipula Bouzon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Malewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shi Qian Peng took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasio Eguerdi. Anastasio Eguerdi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 65 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Unión's goal looked a bit too open when Esquipula Bouzon came free, but Artur Malewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Salvador Perfecto sped through Club Atlético Unión's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artur Malewicz. If Salvador Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Malewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esquipula Bouzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Malewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esquipula Bouzon in the 83rd minute of the match. Club Atlético Unión's Gualterio Gutxi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Miguel Burutzagi in the 85 minute of the game. Shi Qian Peng who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Anastasio Eguerdi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Burutzagi during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Burutzagi kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shi Qian Peng in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Eguerdi saved DeportivoIndependienteMDP from getting behind. Chants of Club Atlético Unión echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as DeportivoIndependienteMDP had held the ball for most of the match.
