The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Leopoldo Baraquiel made the kick off in the second half. Nicklas Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Baraquiel in the 54th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, El Patriarca ®'s Florencio Leoiar made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Garay was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute, Leopoldo Baraquiel made a precise shot to the right of Nicklas Vennerlund. El Patriarca ®'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Batista in the 84th minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Julio Garay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Horácio Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Baraquiel got free with Nicklas Vennerlund in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rosario Central eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
