In the 9th minute Flóki Cabezudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tierra del Fuego FC's goalkeeper Natalio Heli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute Angelo Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flóki Cabezudo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Natalio Heli came out and tried to block the shot, but Flóki Cabezudo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Pedro Pelayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Baumer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Tierra del Fuego FC were awarded a corner. Ambrosio Playo went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Orlando Dabi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The throw-in from Chi-Chi Legay in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tierra del Fuego FC's Baltasar Francis. The Stellenbosch fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chi-Chi Legay during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chi-Chi Legay to maneuver through the defense. Flóki Cabezudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natalio Heli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Iturri in the 36th minute of play. Stellenbosch's attentive Chi-Chi Legay managed to snatch the ball when Baltasar Francis made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Tierra del Fuego FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Flóki Cabezudo scored to the left of an out of position Natalio Heli, making the score, 3-0. Stellenbosch made a substitution. Gerke Krupp replaced Laureano Gora. After a rather tough play, Tierra del Fuego FC's Tomas Kimetz got a free kick in the 50th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mao Zhen got free with Natalio Heli in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Flóki Cabezudo made the kick off in the second half. Natalio Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flóki Cabezudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Natalio Heli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Bernat in the 95th minute of play. Stellenbosch were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
