After a defensive mix-up in Salta Futbol Club's zone, Aaron Cutberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimeno Teodor came out of the goal and Aaron Cutberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aaron Cutberto fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espirillo FC's protests and gave Aaron Cutberto a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Cutberto. When Fabian Obano came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Salta Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Obano couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
