In the 3rd minute, Ruben Salvator left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. Korn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by A. Korn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aaron Cutberto was slow to take the kick. During this time Espirillo FC's players had a chance to rest. Espirillo FC's Aaron Cutberto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Elia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Espirillo FC were awarded a corner. Aaron Cutberto went to the cornerflag to take it. Espirillo FC's Aaron Cutberto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Fernandes in the 13th minute. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Espirillo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Prudencio Ovando was slow to take the kick. During this time A. Korn's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Elia in the 23rd minute of play forced A. Korn's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Ruben Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Salvator in the 27th minute of play forced Espirillo FC's goalkeeper Jorge Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Ruben Salvator managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A. Korn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Salvator was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Fernandes in the 32nd minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Aaron Cutberto put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. Ruben Salvator's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Iztal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aaron Cutberto made a kick off. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Elia in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Arturo Edwardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ruben Salvator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Aaron Cutberto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. A. Korn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Cutberto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a rather tough play, A. Korn's Eugenio Cruz got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th match minute, Espirillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Viviano to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Cristo Elia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Vulpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Jorge Iztal made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Espirillo FC's zone, Ruben Salvator stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Iztal came out of the goal and Ruben Salvator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Cutberto in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Elia in the 81st minute of play forced A. Korn's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Aaron Cutberto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ubaldo Matildo Fillol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aaron Cutberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Espirillo FC's Aaron Cutberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 91st minute Cristo Elia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Aaron Cutberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espirillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. Korn the free kick. The supporters of A. Korn booed when Espirillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. A. Korn's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
