After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Candido Matai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter MIAMI's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Matai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Txomin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, CSD Pte Derqui's Iker Txomin got control of the ball when Modesto Malvin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Podador Zumaeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Demesio in the 11th minute of the match. Iker Txomin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Guillerme, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Iker Txomin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Rafe in the 14th minute of play. Roberto Rafe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Iker Txomin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Mao Yuan Hong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Podador Zumaeta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Candido Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Nayely in the 36th minute of play forced Inter MIAMI's goalkeeper Podador Zumaeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Matai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mao Yuan Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Podador Zumaeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Matai in the 44th minute of play forced CSD Pte Derqui's goalkeeper Iker Txomin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Demesio to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Inter MIAMI's Candido Matai got a free kick in the 50th minute. Mao Yuan Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jesus Lorenz got a throw-in 55 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Quentin Sulser. CSD Pte Derqui's Zacarias Lidon was substituted for Mao Yuan Hong. Zacarias Lidon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Podador Zumaeta having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Rafe in the 75th minute of play forced CSD Pte Derqui's goalkeeper Iker Txomin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Lidon in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Podador Zumaeta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Rafe in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Txomin saved CSD Pte Derqui from getting behind. Adama Sana was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Lidon got free with Podador Zumaeta in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Urbasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Modesto Malvin came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Inter MIAMI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Malvin couldn't finish the play. In the 95thth minute of the game Roberto Rafe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSD Pte Derqui's Iker Txomin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The CSD Pte Derqui supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CSD Pte Derqui would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
