Tales Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marcos Gustau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Helström in the 11th minute of play forced Imperio Cordobés FC's goalkeeper Tales Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Froilan Fresco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabino Brites struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Haakon á Borg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperio Cordobés FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Gustau got free with Haakon á Borg in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Marcos Gustau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haakon á Borg. Cura del Futbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Gustau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 35th minute Rogelio Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haakon á Borg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cura del Futbol booed when Imperio Cordobés FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Jordy didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Erik Nordal in the 37th minute of play forced Imperio Cordobés FC's goalkeeper Tales Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haakon á Borg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Gustau in the 40th minute. Jörn Helström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tales Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Helström in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Gustau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Haakon á Borg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Martin Jordy kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Jörn Helström rounded Imperio Cordobés FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Haakon á Borg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabino Brites, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haakon á Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Jordy in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Pablo Solari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jörn Helström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörn Helström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Tales Falcão made a huge save. In the 94th play minute Jimeno Geofredo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tales Falcão. 1-3. The Cura del Futbol players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
