Spectators: 7738 (Terracing: 5805, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gianluca Vialli took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Vialli in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck François-Xavier Dionnet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Loco De la Maza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Quirze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maciej Ciemiega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loco De la Maza having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Quirze came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Vialli came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Falckner FC got a corner. Ruquense FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Bilbo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Marco Bilbo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this François-Xavier Dionnet quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Remigio Quirze came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ruquense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigio Quirze couldn't finish the play. Gianluca Vialli struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. François-Xavier Dionnet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falckner FC.

If Basilio Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Quirze came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Shantala hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. With his leg Loco De la Maza managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Ruquense FC's Maciej Ciemiega fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Falckner FC's attentive Marco Bilbo managed to snatch the ball when Adolfo Joseph made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's Basilio Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loco De la Maza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Gianluca Vialli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Ruquense FC defense, Gianluca Vialli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of François-Xavier Dionnet. The Ruquense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that François-Xavier Dionnet should have stopped the shot. Gianluca Vialli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Vialli came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Joseph's late challenge caught a Falckner FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Joseph helped the player get up and apologised. 80 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Vialli came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gianluca Vialli in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg François-Xavier Dionnet saved Ruquense FC from getting behind. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Ruquense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Quirze didn't get a good kick on the ball. François-Xavier Dionnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ruquense FC's zone, Gianluca Vialli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. François-Xavier Dionnet came out of the goal and Gianluca Vialli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Falckner FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
