Rodolfo Leheren scored 0-3 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorino Abalos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 played minutes Al-Femur FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rivero. With 17 minutes on the clock, Honorio Velasco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Al-Femur FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lanus:s goal. Victorino Abalos went to the wrong direction when Kristen Kronstad was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some careless play in the Al-Femur FC defense, Ángel Labruna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorino Abalos. The Al-Femur FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorino Abalos should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lanus's goalkeeper Gaston Chuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 33 minutes, Fermin Mergildo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fermin Mergildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Leheren in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Abalos saved Al-Femur FC from getting behind. After 37 minutes of play, Lanus's Rodolfo Leheren made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victorino Abalos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 45 minutes, Victorio Guipuzkoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Al-Femur FC and the Lanus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ángel Labruna couldn't finish the play. Ángel Labruna might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorino Abalos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ángel Labruna ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the game, Cipriano Edwardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victorino Abalos. Cipriano Edwardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ángel Labruna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanus's supporters rose to their feet, but Ángel Labruna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorino Abalos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 played minutes Al-Femur FC got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Guipuzkoa. Al-Femur FC's Victorino Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristen Kronstad in the 66th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Lanus's Victorino Abalos threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodolfo Leheren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Al-Femur FC's Victorino Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Mergildo in the 68th minute of play. Ángel Labruna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorino Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Edwardo in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Al-Femur FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Victorio Guipuzkoa hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Lanus's Rodolfo Llope ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victorino Abalos. Victorino Abalos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. Victorino Abalos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodolfo Llope showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 86 minute of play. In the 90th minute, Ángel Labruna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lanus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-13. When the final whistle sounded Lanus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Al-Femur FC.
