Spectators: 7601 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1751, VIP seats: 150) HURACAN's Ubaldo Guzman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jimeno Esquipula came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Esmeralda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Esquipula couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, HURACAN's goal looked a bit too open when David Banegas came free, but Leonardo Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Devidatta Vendetta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Leonardo Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. HURACAN's Leonardo Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Fonda in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes in the game Lê Yang did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nicasio Fonda. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Eloy Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esmeralda AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Calvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Goyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 20 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Esquipula. Danijel Subašić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Guzman in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Guzman in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danijel Subašić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Goyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Calvino went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the game, Esmeralda AFC's David Banegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonardo Goyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Leonardo Goyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Banegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to HURACAN getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Felix Ibon hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, David Banegas made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Goyo. HURACAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Leonardo Goyo came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Esmeralda AFC's Eloy Calvino. But to his dismay, Eloy Calvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrew Dalli was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Banegas in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Goyo saved HURACAN from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Andrew Dalli made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Goyo. HURACAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Leonardo Goyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Banegas in the 61st minute of the match. Devidatta Vendettas short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Leonardo Goyo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A sloppy throw-in by Lê Yang in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by HURACAN's Ismael Suarez. Leonardo Goyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Calvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Leonardo Goyo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Ibon in the 80th minute of play forced Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danijel Subašić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Ibon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Ibon during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, HURACAN's Felix Ibon got a free kick in the 87th minute. Felix Ibon kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Leonardo Goyo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Devidatta Vendetta sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute, Andrew Dalli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeralda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7.
