With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Maiorga in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danijel Subašić saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. In the 5th minute, Eloy Calvino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeralda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 8th minute German Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danijel Subašić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Oto made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Banegas in the 13th minute. David Banegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Fabian Oto made a huge save. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Absolut Rasta FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Devidatta Vendetta was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeralda AFC's players had a chance to rest. In the 24th minute Esmeralda AFC were awarded a corner. Devidatta Vendetta went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Eloy Calvino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 25th minute Enzo Maiorga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danijel Subašić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Absolut Rasta FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Esmeralda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Cebo took the corner. Wilfredo Ebardo made a great header on Absolut Rasta FC's corner, it was just that Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić managed to reach the ball for a save. Fabian Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Dalli in the 29th minute of play. Danijel Subašić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of German Gil's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match, Eloy Calvino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabian Oto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Danijel Subašić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Devidatta Vendetta might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabian Oto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devidatta Vendetta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45thth minute of the game German Gil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew Dalli to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, German Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Absolut Rasta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Gil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enzo Maiorga hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Esmeralda AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Jimeno Esquipula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Samuel Cebo in the 64th minute really tested Danijel Subašić's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 66th minute David Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Gil in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danijel Subašić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. German Gil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danijel Subašić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Absolut Rasta FC's Samuel Cebo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Danijel Subašić in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zülfü Sungur hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Absolut Rasta FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Enzo Maiorga hit a great ball. Esmeralda AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
