After some careless play in the Villa Lourdes FC defense, Saturnino Johans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerónimo Rulli. The Villa Lourdes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerónimo Rulli should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Johans in the 16th minute of play forced Villa Lourdes FC's goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Silvério Correia in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Villa Lourdes FC's Albino Mikelar. Gerónimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Saturnino Johans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerónimo Rulli. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Villa Lourdes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmílson Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidro Llorian was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Saturnino Johans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lisandro Vitin's late challenge caught a Villa Lourdes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
