Philib McCollion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 9th minute, Expreso Suizo's Maximo Pacifico dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Chiquito Martinez made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Josué Ribas sent off a good shot on target. After 14 played minutes Expreso Suizo got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Jeraldo. Chiquito Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Pacifico in the 16th minute of play. Nemesio Tirso kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Expreso Suizo's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Emander came free, but Philib McCollion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Iraitz in the 28th minute of play forced Expreso Suizo's goalkeeper Philib McCollion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josué Ribas got free with Chiquito Martinez in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Expreso Suizo's goal looked a bit too open when Jorg Pieters came free, but Philib McCollion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Jorg Pieters in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jorg Pieters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philib McCollion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Eguzki got free with Chiquito Martinez in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anastasio Iraitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philib McCollion having to interfere. Chiquito Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Pacifico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josué Ribas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 66 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Albano Bertol. In the 74th minute, Independiente's Flavio Laurgain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Philib McCollion. Philib McCollion yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Independiente's Chiquito Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Tirso in the 78th minute of play. Philib McCollion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Josué Ribas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquito Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philib McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Laurgain in the 85th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Flavio Laurgain took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Philib McCollion to make any attempt to save it. After 89 played minutes Expreso Suizo got a freekick which was hit by Stanko Zografov. In the 90th minute, Albano Bertol sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Expreso Suizo's Philib McCollion didn't even have to move. In the 93rd minute, Benjy Benton made a precise shot to the right of Philib McCollion. Expreso Suizo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Independiente's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
