In the 10th minute Igor Wiater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniil Zografos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Patoruzú's Horacio Etxepare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dustin Lieven in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amedeo Benedetti during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Magdalena AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniil Zografos should have stopped the shot. Daniil Zografos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Lucero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebio Lucero to make the kick off. With a little luck, Magdalena AFC's Daniil Zografos got control of the ball when Igor Wiater tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horacio Etxepare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Iyan in the 55th minute of the match. Daniil Zografos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Lucero in the 56th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Daniil Zografos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Horacio Etxepare came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Magdalena AFC's Eddy Dlyan. But to his dismay, Eddy Dlyan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Horacio Etxepare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Iyan in the 82nd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Magdalena AFC's goalkeeper Daniil Zografos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusebio Lucero. Daniil Zografos made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Agustin Acuña sent off a good shot on target.
