Stanislaw Siedlecki scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anacleto Horado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jack Nicholson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Jerold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Leonel Libertad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Gallos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dep. Morón 1947 the free kick. A collision led to Los Gallos getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Leonel Libertad hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Zeledon Baristo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anacleto Horado was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Anacleto Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Baristo in the 32nd minute of the match. When Gipuzkoa Chamochin fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Gallos's protests and gave Gipuzkoa Chamochin a yellow card for diving instead. Anacleto Horado made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Zeledon Baristo sent off a good shot on target. Bernardino Ezkerra made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Gallos's Leonel Libertad. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Stanislaw Siedlecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Baristo in the 52nd minute of play. Vladimiro Jerold might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Nicholson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladimiro Jerold ran back to his position shaking his head. Jack Nicholson came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold. But to his dismay, Vladimiro Jerold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The throw-in from Rodolfo Ihazintu in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Los Gallos's Leonel Libertad. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğuş Zühtü in the 74th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dep.
