Prudencio Vergaray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute La Maquina 9-12-18 were awarded a corner. Dario Gelacio went to the cornerflag to take it. La Maquina 9-12-18's Natalio Bieito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Prudencio Vergaray in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Natalio Bieito might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prudencio Vergaray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natalio Bieito ran back to his position shaking his head. Prudencio Vergaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jose Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Lucado in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Natalio Bieito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estrella Austral's Prudencio Vergaray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Estrella Austral's Prudencio Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Vachon in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Natalio Bieito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Vergaray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natalio Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prudencio Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Bieito in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Estrella Austral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Aresti to maneuver through the defense. Estrella Austral's Prudencio Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Vachon in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estrella Austral's Felix Demesio got a free kick in the 34th minute. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when La Maquina 9-12-18's Natalio Bieito looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. La Maquina 9-12-18's Natalio Bieito got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Estrella Austral's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Bieito came free, but Prudencio Vergaray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when La Maquina 9-12-18's Natalio Bieito looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Natalio Bieito got free with Prudencio Vergaray in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 minutes, Natalio Bieito made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Estrella Austral's Prudencio Vergaray tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carmelo Vachon took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prudencio Vergaray. Prudencio Vergaray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmelo Vachon in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prudencio Vergaray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carmelo Vachon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prudencio Vergaray having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Vachon in the 71st minute of play forced Estrella Austral's goalkeeper Prudencio Vergaray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Vachon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prudencio Vergaray was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Estrella Austral's Prudencio Vergaray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Estrella Austral from getting a goal against them. Prudencio Vergaray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natalio Bieito in the 80th minute. If Natalio Bieito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Natalio Bieito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Prudencio Vergaray made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Christian Medero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Natalio Bieito came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the La Maquina 9-12-18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Bieito couldn't finish the play. Natalio Bieito kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 97thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Estrella Austral's keeper Prudencio Vergaray was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged.
