In the 10th match minute, Tienso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Fliz to maneuver through the defense. Tienso's Everardo Tiso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Tienso from getting a goal against them. Leonides Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Lorencio in the 15th minute of play. Leonides Valentine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Lorencio went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 24 minutes, Fabricio Costante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argentino de Banfield and the Tienso players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tienso booed when Argentino de Banfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Costante didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Raimundo Lorencio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Argentino de Banfield's Leonides Valentine. Leonides Valentine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Chale might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Valentine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Chale ran back to his position shaking his head. Clodoveo Normando hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Victorio Bemabe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Everardo Tiso made a huge save. Everardo Tiso made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Gogo Erdiano sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Tienso's Loke Skaanild got a free kick in the 39th minute. Raimundo Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Valentine having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Hermengildo Ishmael made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Argentino de Banfield's Fabricio Costante got a free kick in the 51st minute. Everardo Tiso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Bemabe in the 54th minute of play. Patricio Tirso's late challenge caught a Argentino de Banfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Tirso helped the player get up and apologised. 55 minutes into the game, one of Tienso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Argentino de Banfield. Victorio Bemabe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Everardo Tiso. 1-2. In the 66th match minute, Argentino de Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Rosalio to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Argentino de Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Chale came free, but Leonides Valentine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Emanuel Chale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tienso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Chale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Raimundo Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argentino de Banfield's Victorio Bemabe got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everardo Tiso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Bemabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tienso eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
