The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henk De Martelaere's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. After taking down the ball on AV & AA's corner Ivan Ederono fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Domingo Bide quite easily take care of the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodri Palacios made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Augusto Dominguez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Porto. AV & AA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Dominguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Bumin Mete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Simão Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anastasio Karmel took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingo Bide. Domingo Bide dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 61st match minute, NYC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bumin Mete to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes, AV & AA's Astor Hermelando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Domingo Bide came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AV & AA reached it. 63 minutes into the match, NYC United's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Karmel came free, but Domingo Bide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of NYC United booed when AV & AA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Hermelando didn't get a good kick on the ball. NYC United's Pastor Montrelle was substituted for Ali Cengiz Peykan. 73 minutes into the match, AV & AA's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Carlomagno came free, but Simão Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Anastasio Karmel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Domingo Bide. Anastasio Karmel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Albino Criston hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. AV & AA's Simão Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Carlomagno in the 81st minute of play. If Augusto Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bumin Mete in the 87th minute of the match. When Anastasio Karmel fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AV & AA's protests and gave Anastasio Karmel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AV & AA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Anastasio Karmel hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
