The referee ignored almafuerte's protests and gave Norberto Erlantz a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of almafuerte:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Antonio Vespucio Liberti:s goal. In the 15th minute Sander Korsma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Fix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Tomasz Kiewra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elpidio Txomin. Tomasz Kiewra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 24th minute Epifanio Demesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Fix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. almafuerte's Isaac Fix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sander Korsma in the 28th minute of play. Sander Korsma might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Fix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sander Korsma ran back to his position shaking his head. Isaac Fix came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Antonio Vespucio Liberti's Sander Korsma. But to his dismay, Sander Korsma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gualterio Faron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Fix having to interfere. Antonio Vespucio Liberti's Elpidio Txomin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Antonio Vespucio Liberti from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Sander Korsma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Isaac Fix made a huge save. A collision led to almafuerte getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Armando Chumo hit a great ball. almafuerte's Isaac Fix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sander Korsma in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind almafuerte's goalkeeper Isaac Fix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isaac Fix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sander Korsma in the 68th minute of play. Isaac Fix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sander Korsma in the 71st minute of the match. When almafuerte's Tomasz Kiewra in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Antonio Vespucio Liberti fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Antonio Vespucio Liberti's Epifanio Demesio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Isaac Fix was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sander Korsma showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 95 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Antonio Vespucio Liberti walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
