In the 2nd minute Felix Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernán Prats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Tancredo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 许钢冰 in the 8th minute of play forced Developers's goalkeeper Hernán Prats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when 许钢冰 sped through Developers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hernán Prats. Blas Valente lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 17th minute, Blas Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erubiel Crispo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Developers's Erubiel Crispo got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Leopoldo Leobardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas haig were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Developers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gogo Nabar took the corner. Hernán Prats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Quiroga in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Developers booed when Douglas haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gooitzen Zuidema didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Douglas haig's zone, Erubiel Crispo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Milo Francisco came out of the goal and Erubiel Crispo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Douglas haig's Aristides Quiroga got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 许钢冰 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horácio Maranhense made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Gogo Nabar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douglas haig and the Developers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Candido Tancredo charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Tancredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Douglas haig booed when Developers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Quiroga hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Developers's Erubiel Crispo got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Developers's zone, Leopoldo Leobardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernán Prats came out of the goal and Leopoldo Leobardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, 许钢冰 took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Hernán Prats to make any attempt to save it. When Erubiel Crispo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. Developers's Genaro Ibon was substituted for Jonas Arotza. In the 67th minute, Erubiel Crispo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Developers's Hernán Prats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Leobardo in the 72nd minute of play. Milo Francisco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Ibon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Felix Flores ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernán Prats was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Felix Flores's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernán Prats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Felix Flores left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Douglas haig fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After a rather tough play, Developers's Andres Abeitia got a free kick in the 84th minute. 许钢冰 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Hernán Prats made a huge save. Milo Francisco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Ibon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan De Leon hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Douglas haig's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
