Marcial Munio ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Munio in the 11th minute of play forced Camarón Bombay's goalkeeper Budi Martines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pau Torres hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Marcial Munio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Camarón Bombay booed when San Martin de Tucuman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martín Ferrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Martin de Tucuman were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Camarón Bombay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anastasio Amesti took the corner. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Paulino Lamberto got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, San Martin de Tucuman's Marcial Munio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Budi Martines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Pierluigi Casiraghi made the kick off in the second half. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Gartzen in the 51st minute of play. The corner ended in Abelardo Pero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax did a great save. In the 55th minute San Martin de Tucuman were awarded a corner. Anastasio Amesti went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Anastasio Amesti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Budi Martines quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Munio in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Budi Martines saved Camarón Bombay from getting behind. Camarón Bombay's Budi Martines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Camarón Bombay from getting a goal against them. San Martin de Tucuman's Pipis Vattimos was substituted for Martín Ferrero. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Camarón Bombay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anastasio Amesti was slow to take the kick. During this time San Martin de Tucuman's players had a chance to rest. Cecilio Jax came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Camarón Bombay's Romeu Sanches. But to his dismay, Romeu Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Marcial Munio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Budi Martines came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcial Munio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 80th minute. Camarón Bombay's Mariano Enaut was substituted for Federico Valerio. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Hector Gizon replaced Marcial Munio.
