Virgilio Bernard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leo Messi went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Leo Messi struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Virgilio Bernard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PiCaNTeS FC. A collision led to Cridas FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Epifanio Urdaspal hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, PiCaNTeS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sánchez came free, but Alfredo Otoniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Bernard was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Cridas FC's Zacarias Elija seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zacarias Elija the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cridas FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zacarias Elija had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Cridas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PiCaNTeS FC:s goal. The referee gave PiCaNTeS FC a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodrigo De Paul, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cridas FC's Virgilio Bernard. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Sánchez made a kick off. Delmar Berasko got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ovidio Ignazio. If Cristian Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. But to his dismay, Everardo Calvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Everardo Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Cridas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Everardo Calvino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Virgilio Bernard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arana Álvarez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Virgilio Bernard successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Virgilio Bernard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Elodio in the 87th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Calvino got free with Virgilio Bernard in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Nicanor Elodio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
