The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Foster Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Mundo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Bermudez in the 16th minute of play forced ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's goalkeeper Grigore Dijmărescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO SJ's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Bernat came free, but Isidro Christobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Foster Brennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidro Christobal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Foster Brennan went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Foster Brennan in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Christobal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Stolojan in the 32nd minute of play. Grigore Dijmărescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Mohammad, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foster Brennan in the 38th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Foster Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isidro Christobal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Foster Brennan's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filiberto Bermudez got free with Grigore Dijmărescu in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Foster Brennan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Marcones charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Marcones the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ got a freekick which was hit by Joel Marcones. In the 52nd minute, Foster Brennan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 58 minutes into the match, Josef Mohammad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Grigore Dijmărescu. ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josef Mohammad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Filiberto Bermudez scored 2-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grigore Dijmărescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, DEPORTIVO SJ's Mario Ezkerra got a free kick in the 64th minute. ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's Grigore Dijmărescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Mohammad in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in DEPORTIVO SJ's zone, Foster Brennan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Christobal came out of the goal and Foster Brennan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of DEPORTIVO SJ booed when ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Bernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's Hernan Meder got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Hernan Meder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Filiberto Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. DEPORTIVO SJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigore Dijmărescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 84 minutes, Foster Brennan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ᴍᴏᴛʜᴡɪɴɢ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Foster Brennan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes of play, DEPORTIVO SJ's 潘林凡 made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grigore Dijmărescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mark Dimech kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The long shot by Flavio Lorenz in the 95th minute really tested Isidro Christobal's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
