In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salsipuedes CSyD's goalkeeper 蔡凡常, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Jake Hursey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 蔡凡常 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 17th minute, Lisandro Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Lanús's Augusto Oliviero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 蔡凡常 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Augusto Oliviero notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Salsipuedes CSyD's 蔡凡常. 蔡凡常 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 22 played minutes Salsipuedes CSyD got a freekick which was hit by Shah Butcher. If Augusto Oliviero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 蔡凡常 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Oliviero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 蔡凡常 came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanús's Augusto Oliviero. But to his dismay, Augusto Oliviero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Leon Gaur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baldomero Suarez. That made the score 1-3 in the 34 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Lluques got free with Baldomero Suarez in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bartolo Rozarius who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Baldomero Suarez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 42 minutes into the game, Danilo Ipar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salsipuedes CSyD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanús the free kick. After a rather tough play, Salsipuedes CSyD's Danilo Ipar got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Matt Le Tissier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 蔡凡常 having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartolo Rozarius made a kick off. Danilo Ipar kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Salsipuedes CSyD booed when Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair York didn't get a good kick on the ball. 蔡凡常 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Oliviero in the 61st minute. In the 64th match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Oliviero to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Danilo Ipar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lanús's Esteve Herrera quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Baldomero Suarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Rozarius in the 66th minute of play. Lanús's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
