But to his dismay, Relja Jurišić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Peñaloza's Zarco Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Arias in the 16th minute of play. C.A.I Somos Nosotros's attentive Fabian Drilea managed to snatch the ball when Leonides Jaen made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Peñaloza's Zarco Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Arias in the 20th minute of play. C.A.I Somos Nosotros were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Peñaloza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Humberto Savier took the corner. The corner led to C.A.I Somos Nosotros's Dionisio Arias getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Peñaloza's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Idacio came free, but Zarco Figueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fabian Drilea came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the C.A.I Somos Nosotros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Drilea couldn't finish the play. Joachim Svensson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Humberto Savier was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Peñaloza's Relja Jurišić got a free kick in the 41st minute. Leonides Jaen made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.A.I Somos Nosotros's Fabian Drilea. Simon Oihan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Teofilio having to interfere.

The wind increased when Victor Idacio made the kick off in the second half. After 72 minutes, Leonides Jaen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peñaloza and the C.A.I Somos Nosotros players grew even worse after the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peñaloza fully deserved thier win.
