Feliberto Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Ederono received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Cayo came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Ederono slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 87th minute. Davor Šuker hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Nestor Ederono could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Julio Cayo made a huge save. In the 95th match minute, Tuizón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Lawrence to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
