Quemeros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Lena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zé Lena kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Nereo Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quemeros's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Navarro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Ezkerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nereo Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quemeros's protests and gave Nereo Navarro a yellow card for diving instead.
