Aziz Akarsu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Telesforo having to make a save. Leonides Telesforo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aziz Akarsu's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Claudio Echeverri hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Aziz Akarsu scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonides Telesforo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mircea Buciuceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Telesforo having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Cable a Tierra's Claudio Echeverri got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arnoldo Donzel. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Leonardo Sigali got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 35th minute Aziz Akarsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 37th minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Arnoldo Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mircea Buciuceanu did an outstanding performance 40 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Leonides Telesforo in the goal. Leonides Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Akarsu in the 43rd minute of the match. The Cable a Tierra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Mukenio were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aziz Akarsu made a kick off. Gavino Egoi took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnoldo Donzel. Arnoldo Donzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 76th minute, when Deportivo Mukenio's Mircea Buciuceanu after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Leonides Telesforo in Cable a Tierra's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Deportivo Mukenio's Arnoldo Donzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Egoi in the 80th minute of play. Arnoldo Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Egoi in the 92nd minute of play forced Deportivo Mukenio's goalkeeper Arnoldo Donzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Egoi came free, but Arnoldo Donzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Mukenio's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
