The audience thought a goal was coming when Zygmunt Malik got free with Valentin Licerio in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the game, Benigno Rito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franja Dorada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Retorno de Palermo the free kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Retorno de Palermo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
