The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astor Urdin kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Adolfo Sotil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Bertin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Ivan Aznaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edelmiro Bertin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Adolfo Sotil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Soldados del Señor's Edelmiro Bertin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edelmiro Bertin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Soll in the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Fellipe Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Soldados del Señor's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Martinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Soldados del Señor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristobal Sayveon was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. Natalio Silviano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Emilian Martinez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Sotil in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Bertin saved C.A. Soldados del Señor from getting behind. Cristobal Sayveon charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristobal Sayveon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C.A. Soldados del Señor booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Sayveon didn't get a good kick on the ball.

With an all-out effort, Racing Club's Edelmiro Bertin threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adolfo Sotil, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Soldados del Señor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
