Jonas Paublo's late challenge caught a Alvoha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Paublo helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sportivo Desamparados! Ferdinand Poenaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Beremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ferdinand Poenaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Beremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ferdinand Poenaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ferdinand Poenaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Alvoha FC's Epifanio Beremundo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferdinand Poenaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rodrigo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Poenaru having to interfere. In the 29th minute Rodrigo Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Poenaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Epifanio Beremundo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Poenaru. Sportivo Desamparados's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Epifanio Beremundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Alvoha FC's Rodrigo Santos in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sportivo Desamparados's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinand Poenaru was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Epifanio Beremundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Santos took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdinand Poenaru. Ferdinand Poenaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Alvise Biancone might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Poenaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvise Biancone ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Sportivo Desamparados defense, Rodrigo Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Poenaru. The Sportivo Desamparados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Poenaru should have stopped the shot. Rodrigo Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Santos in the 65th minute of play forced Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Ferdinand Poenaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvoha FC made a substitution. Christian Chaime replaced Alonzo Lizar. The supporters of Alvoha FC booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. King Chiellini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Aragones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Poenaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Ferdinand Poenaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvise Biancone in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Desamparados's zone, Ladislao Aragones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Poenaru came out of the goal and Ladislao Aragones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Santos succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. When the match was over Alvoha FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sportivo Desamparados throughout the match.
