In the 4th minute of the match Quilaquina AFC got a corner. Sportivo Desamparados's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saul Favila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcos Adrio made a great header on Quilaquina AFC's corner, it was just that Sportivo Desamparados's Ferdinand Poenaru managed to reach the ball for a save. 8 minutes into the match, Quilaquina AFC's Marcel Dinescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdinand Poenaru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute Leonel Semeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Poenaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sportivo Desamparados's Ferdinand Poenaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Pitin in the 10th minute of play. Ferdinand Poenaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Quilaquina AFC booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. King Chiellini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Marcel Dinescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinand Poenaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ferdinand Poenaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Pitin in the 23rd minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Quilaquina AFC's corner Marcel Dinescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferdinand Poenaru quite easily take care of the ball. Leonel Semeno struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ferdinand Poenaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quilaquina AFC. Baldomiro Cibran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Gutierrez in the 29th minute of play. Ferdinand Poenaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Pitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Marcel Dinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilaquina AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Dinescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Poenaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Sportivo Desamparados getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Giuliano Lovera hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes Quilaquina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Aresti. Baldomiro Cibran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Gutierrez in the 87th minute of the match. Ferdinand Poenaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Pitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliberto Pitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ferdinand Poenaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Quilaquina AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
