But to his dismay, Alan Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Silvestre Cisco came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Frontera AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Cisco couldn't finish the play. Oséas Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Cisco in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tiburcio Pes could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Agustín Rossi however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Lenz F.C. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bruno Oinatz hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Silvestre Cisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naohiro Takahara to make the kick off.
