Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the Sportivo Desamparados defense, Abel Calvet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Poenaru. The Sportivo Desamparados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Poenaru should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Totti in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinand Poenaru saved Sportivo Desamparados from getting behind. 17 minutes into the game, Abel Calvet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ferdinand Poenaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Arne Melberg in the 21st minute of play forced Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Ferdinand Poenaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Los Mega booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Paublo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justino Dayam kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ferdinand Poenaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Arne Melberg in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sportivo Desamparados defense, Francesco Totti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Poenaru. The Sportivo Desamparados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Poenaru should have stopped the shot. Ferdinand Poenaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hieronim Siwy fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Mega's protests and gave Hieronim Siwy a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Los Mega's Hieronim Siwy got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Stig-Arne Melberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

After a rather tough play, Sportivo Desamparados's Giuliano Lovera got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ferdinand Poenaru made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Stig-Arne Melberg sent off a good shot on target. Ferdinand Poenaru was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Stig-Arne Melberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stig-Arne Melberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. With an all-out effort, Los Mega's Ferdinand Poenaru threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Francesco Totti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Sportivo Desamparados's Ferdinand Poenaru got control of the ball when Francesco Totti tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Los Mega's Silvano Chuan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Silvano Chuan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Mega protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Silvano Chuan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 70th minute, Francesco Totti made a precise shot to the right of Ferdinand Poenaru. Sportivo Desamparados's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. When Francesco Totti, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ferdinand Poenaru was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Ferdinand Poenaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Arne Melberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Toranzo in the 78th minute of play forced Los Mega's goalkeeper Federico Jaizki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Jaizki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Toranzo in the 80th minute of the match. Stig-Arne Melberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Federico Jaizki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Dayam kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Ferdinand Poenaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Totti, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. Los Mega's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
