With a little luck, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Iker Mincho got control of the ball when Makareus Picoulas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Kang Feng made a precise shot to the right of Celedonio Lastur. Yuquerí AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Kang Feng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alvarado de Mar del Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 31st minute, Dacian Hirean reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iker Mincho. The goal made the score 1-2. If Makareus Picoulas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Iker Mincho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Makareus Picoulas to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Lino Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celedonio Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennie Buckler in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Makareus Picoulas in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Mincho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Ghițescu took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celedonio Lastur. Celedonio Lastur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Alvarado de Mar del Plata made a substitution. Modesto Isadore replaced Enzo Kante. 68 minutes into the game, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Modesto Isadore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celedonio Lastur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Daniel Ghițescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Celedonio Lastur made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Verón in the 76th minute of play forced Yuquerí AFC's goalkeeper Celedonio Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yuquerí AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 4-5 when Makareus Picoulas sped through Alvarado de Mar del Plata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iker Mincho.
