Luis Nardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Lidon in the 10th minute. After 13 minutes, Lukáš Katačić made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ombu's 倪扬晨 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Nardo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Valentin Lidon sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lukáš Katačić in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 倪扬晨 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Lidon in the 20th minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Luis Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes Ombu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was John James who took care of the corner kick. Lukáš Katačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Lidon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Luis Nardo made a huge save. If Lukáš Katačić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukáš Katačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Lukáš Katačić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florida Gulf Coast's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ombu the free kick. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lukáš Katačić hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Ombu's goal looked a bit too open when Lukáš Katačić came free, but 倪扬晨 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Lukáš Katačić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukáš Katačić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute of the match Florida Gulf Coast got a corner. Ombu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. John James ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ombu's goalkeeper 倪扬晨, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Eleuterio Fiz's late challenge caught a Ombu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eleuterio Fiz helped the player get up and apologised. Eleuterio Fiz kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Ombu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lukáš Katačić fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 倪扬晨 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grant Danes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ombu's goalkeeper 倪扬晨, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute Florida Gulf Coast were awarded a corner. John James went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Florida Gulf Coast's corner John James fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 倪扬晨 quite easily take care of the ball. 倪扬晨 came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić. But to his dismay, Lukáš Katačić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 86 minutes into the match, Ombu's goalkeeper 倪扬晨 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sixto Bitxintxo. Ombu's attentive Jeremias Ugaitz managed to snatch the ball when Eleuterio Fiz made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. After 94 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Fiz. The Florida Gulf Coast supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Florida Gulf Coast would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
