The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Lukáš Katačić made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona de Ezeiza's Héctor Alterman got a free kick in the 54th minute. Nestor Inko struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Honorato Turi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida Gulf Coast. 96 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Maravilha came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Florida Gulf Coast had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
