Cayetano Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Izel, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Patay Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Scaloneta were winning 0-2.

If Nikita Kovtun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho got control of the ball when Gilberto Izel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Patay Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedric Ceballos to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Izel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Rozarius ran back to his position shaking his head. Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Rozarius in the 78th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Virgilio Ikatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Florentino Egoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patay Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta the free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Scaloneta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
