Boxer Club's Camilo Fernado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Boxer Club from getting a goal against them. Hilario Godoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Olayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Olayo in the 19th minute of play forced Cervatero's goalkeeper Hilario Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano Salgado in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Godoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boxer Club's Camilo Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Santio in the 27th minute of play. Ivan Santio struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Camilo Fernado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervatero. Caetano Salgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilario Godoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Salgado ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Caetano Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Fernado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Hernandez in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Boxer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Santio came free, but Camilo Fernado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Cervatero's Ivan Santio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Camilo Fernado. Camilo Fernado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Angel Naldo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Camilo Fernado came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Cervatero's Ivan Santio. But to his dismay, Ivan Santio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Cervatero's Alvaro Hernandez in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boxer Club's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Boxer Club defense, Wilfredo Giro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Fernado. The Boxer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Fernado should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Boxer Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Benedicto Moise hit a great ball. When Cervatero's Ivan Santio in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cervatero were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Boxer Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingo Nikola took the corner. Cervatero's Domingo Nikola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Camilo Fernado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Giro in the 83rd minute of play forced Boxer Club's goalkeeper Camilo Fernado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
