Omiros Belesis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Cordairo having to interfere. With his leg Martin Cayo managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Copetonas AFC's Pompiliu Ciutacu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Viorel Bordeianu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, River Super Club's Viorel Bordeianu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Cordairo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Copetonas AFC's corner Epifanio Canor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Cayo quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Copetonas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Bordeianu came free, but Marcelo Cordairo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viorel Bordeianu in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Cordairo saved Copetonas AFC from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viorel Bordeianu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Copetonas AFC's İrfan Ergüder got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Viorel Bordeianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Marcelo Cordairo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Copetonas AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while River Super Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
