Mamboreta FC's Israel Mederi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Nestor Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batistuta in the 20th minute of play. Mamboreta FC's Guaberto Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Montrel in the 24th minute of play. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Lia took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guaberto Estefan. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Pinola in the 36th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Lobos de Carelia were awarded a corner. Horacio Oliverios went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Lobos de Carelia's corner Horacio Oliverios fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guaberto Estefan quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Perico to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Eusebio Rios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute Cristobal Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feo Loramendi struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Nestor Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamboreta FC. 62 minutes into the match, Cristobal Lia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Estefan. Mamboreta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Lia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mamboreta FC's attentive Israel Mederi managed to snatch the ball when Horacio Oliverios made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Lobos de Carelia made a substitution. Pavao Zadro replaced Cristobal Lia. In the 78th minute Lobos de Carelia were awarded a corner. Horacio Oliverios went to the cornerflag to take it. Guaberto Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Perico in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Mamboreta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Oliverios came free, but Guaberto Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Silvestre Urritz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nestor Cortez. The goal made the score 2-1. Nestor Cortez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pavao Zadro in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Estefan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Lobos de Carelia booed when Mamboreta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuriel Jacobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horacio Oliverios, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lobos de Carelia had won after a very even match.
