Arcadio Buendia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Cayetano Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Grosso United's Antonín Orlík nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Estefan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 21st minute, Ulises Gartzen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Estefan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mamboreta FC's Guaberto Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonín Orlík in the 24th minute of play. Guaberto Estefan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice moves Gabriel-Omar Batistuta could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Arcadio Buendia however easily saved by the left post.

54 minutes into the match, Mamboreta FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Estefan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cayetano Xacintu. In the 55th minute Cayetano Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Caton thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Arcadio Buendia, a very annoying self made goal in the 63rd minute which led to 2-5. Arcadio Buendia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Urritz's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute, Antonín Orlík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grosso United made a substitution. Reynaldo Pietro replaced Ulises Gartzen. The supporters of Mamboreta FC booed when Grosso United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonín Orlík didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Gabriel-Omar Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grosso United's Arcadio Buendia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Mamboreta FC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Mamboreta FC's Gabriel-Omar Batistuta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
