The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Gl3n Grant A C's zone, Cosme Sugar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Totakoxe came out of the goal and Cosme Sugar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrik Hökqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Higinio Brion made a huge save. In the 7th minute of the match Gl3n Grant A C got a corner. Carboncito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claes Lövskog ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Claes Lövskog almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carboncito's Higinio Brion did a great save. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bressal John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Carboncito's Generoso Alonso got a free kick in the 15th minute. Carboncito's Higinio Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Batista in the 16th minute of play. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bressal John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Tohias might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Brion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Tohias ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, Gl3n Grant A C's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Poz came free, but Eliseo Totakoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carboncito were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Gl3n Grant A C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Severiano Henric took the corner. Eleuterio Jokin charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleuterio Jokin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Eleuterio Jokin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Carboncito's goal looked a bit too open when Bressal John came free, but Higinio Brion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Arnulfo Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Brion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Brion made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Vicente Ortle sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the game, Carboncito's Eleuterio Jokin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseo Totakoxe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bressal John in the 45th minute of play forced Carboncito's goalkeeper Higinio Brion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cosme Sugar to strike the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Poz came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eliseo Totakoxe could save by the left post. In the 55th minute Patrik Hökqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Brion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gl3n Grant A C's Fermin Olivar got a free kick in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Sugar in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Totakoxe saved Gl3n Grant A C from getting behind. The Carboncito fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Carboncito's Cosme Sugar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 65 minutes, Cosme Sugar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carboncito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosme Sugar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Gl3n Grant A C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Olivar to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Totakoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Sugar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Fulgencio Poz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes Gl3n Grant A C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zeledon Esdras who took care of the corner kick. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Ortle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Jacobo Orland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carboncito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
