An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Navarro in the 4th minute of play forced Società Vigata Calcio's goalkeeper Edgardo Ariando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Paquito Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Gaskon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Elpidio Demesio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Ariando was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Fervent Stalkers's Augusto Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Kajder in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Fervent Stalkers's Franco Navarro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Ariando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Fervent Stalkers were awarded a corner. Eleuterio Donostia went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Società Vigata Calcio defense, Franco Navarro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Ariando. The Società Vigata Calcio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Ariando should have stopped the shot. Edgardo Ariando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Demesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Donostia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgardo Ariando. Eleuterio Donostia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 42 minutes into the match, Società Vigata Calcio's goalkeeper Edgardo Ariando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eleuterio Donostia. 44 minutes into the game, Fervent Stalkers's Franco Navarro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Ariando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Eleuterio Donostia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgardo Ariando firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fervent Stalkers were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Società Vigata Calcio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eleuterio Donostia took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Corleone was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Fervent Stalkers's Augusto Gaskon got control of the ball when Vito Corleone tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 52 in the game by Vito Corleone from a close distance when the talented Augusto Gaskon managed to make a qualified save. Fervent Stalkers's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Società Vigata Calcio's zone, Franco Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Ariando came out of the goal and Franco Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 played minutes Fervent Stalkers got a freekick which was hit by Stratos Michopoulos. In the 55th minute, Edwin Sahuleka sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fervent Stalkers's Augusto Gaskon didn't even have to move. If Franco Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes of play, Fervent Stalkers's Franco Navarro made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Ariando was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute Franco Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Ariando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Ariando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franco Navarro's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Barnaba Kajder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Società Vigata Calcio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnaba Kajder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franco Navarro in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Ariando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franco Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Ariando having to interfere. Edgardo Ariando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Navarro in the 83rd minute of play. Fervent Stalkers had played much better football throughout.
