Deportivo Merlo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arianos DM the free kick. In the 90th minute of the match Arianos DM got a corner. Deportivo Merlo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Delmiro Eate ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Arianos DM's Jeronimo Bento got a free kick in the 98th minute. Although Deportivo Merlo had been in control for most of the match, Arianos DM still came away with the win.
