Victorino Quintin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aureliano Gora's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Mario Marcones lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Betelgeux FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Jorge Havier had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Sebastián Verón's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jorge Havier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Aimar in the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Modesto Aimar to make the kick off. Jorge Havier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemesio Cesario in the 52nd minute. Victorino Quintin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Kepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Betelgeux FC booed when Pittsburgh FLOYD Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Aimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Nemesio Cesario could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Jorge Havier however easily saved by the left post. Pittsburgh FLOYD Football's Victorino Quintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Kepa in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Betelgeux FC's goalkeeper Jorge Havier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Modesto Aimar. Modesto Aimar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Jorge Havier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Martxelin in the 73rd minute of play forced Pittsburgh FLOYD Football's goalkeeper Victorino Quintin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Betelgeux FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Rainerio to maneuver through the defense. Betelgeux FC made a substitution. Victoriano Rosalio replaced Dalmacio Erruki. After a rather tough play, Betelgeux FC's Elias Rainerio got a free kick in the 76th minute. Betelgeux FC's Jorge Havier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Betelgeux FC from getting a goal against them. Anibal Txanton kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Fabricio Martxelin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute of the match Pittsburgh FLOYD Football got a corner. Betelgeux FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elvio Barto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jorge Havier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Modesto Aimar in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pittsburgh FLOYD Football walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
