Feliciano Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Bordat in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Düsseldorf FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Egoi. Feliciano Horado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximo Bordat's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Düsseldorf FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Hermon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maximo Bordat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Egoi in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Calvino in the 21st minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Primitivo Fernanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Bordat in the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartolo Nuno to make the kick off. Alvaro Calvino kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Düsseldorf FC's Ziemowit Czerwinski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Orlando Lluques, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 75th match minute, Düsseldorf FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Egoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Maximo Bordat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Maximo Bordat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Düsseldorf FC's Feliciano Horado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Primitivo Fernanco made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Dalmacio Olivar sent off a good shot on target. Primitivo Fernanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvaro Calvino went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Alvaro Calvino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Primitivo Fernanco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Primitivo Fernanco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
