Esteve Blanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornelio Ixidor went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Denis Calvino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josiah Mwangi Rop in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Ensenada got a corner. Atlético Villa Gesell's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donato Erramun ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 32nd match minute, Ensenada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Erramun to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Dario Bingen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esteve Blanco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Josiah Mwangi Rop's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Denis Calvino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 40 minutes of play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Fabian Pietro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteve Blanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético Villa Gesell's Cornelio Ixidor quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Artemio Francho, made in the 44th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Bingen to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Villa Gesell's Cornelio Ixidor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esteve Blanco. That made the score 0-4 after 52 minutes of play. In the 55th minute, Josiah Mwangi Rop left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ensenada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Esteve Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Ixidor in the 59th minute of the match. Dario Bingen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 64th playminute. Esteve Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Pietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Blanco was a little too slow when Paolo Aguirre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 1-6. Atlético Villa Gesell's Paulo Rudolfo was substituted for Dario Bingen. Atlético Villa Gesell's Laureano Efraim was substituted for Eriberto Aztore. After 79 played minutes Ensenada got a freekick which was hit by Americo Fernendo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josiah Mwangi Rop in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Calvino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esteve Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Pietro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Ensenada defense, Fabian Pietro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteve Blanco. The Ensenada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteve Blanco should have stopped the shot. In the 87th match minute, Atlético Villa Gesell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Ixidor to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Ixidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Atlético Villa Gesell's Paulo Rudolfo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Esteve Blanco. Esteve Blanco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. With a little luck, Ensenada's Esteve Blanco got control of the ball when Fabian Pietro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ensenada fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Villa Gesell were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
