Václav Filipi came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by La Vieja Guarida FC's Yağızhan Korgan. But to his dismay, Yağızhan Korgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Lizar in the 7th minute of play forced ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Václav Filipi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 11 in the game by Jose Chale from a close distance when the talented Apolo Erroman managed to make a qualified save. La Vieja Guarida FC's players were relieved. Apolo Erroman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Haimar in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Quinteros came free, but Václav Filipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Václav Filipi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yağızhan Korgan's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the ATLETICO MENDOZA defense, Elias Ereinotz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Václav Filipi. The ATLETICO MENDOZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Václav Filipi should have stopped the shot. Mariusz Chlapowski's late challenge caught a ATLETICO MENDOZA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariusz Chlapowski helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Vieja Guarida FC's Mariusz Chlapowski got a free kick in the 19th minute. Václav Filipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Václav Filipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Lizar in the 24th minute of the match. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Václav Filipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yağızhan Korgan in the 25th minute of play. After 26th play minutes Yağızhan Korgan shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Václav Filipi and just under the crossbar into goal. Prudencio Bidun kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Mihăiţă Iuonaș heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Apolo Erroman was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Maximino Ruy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximino Ruy really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Ivan Gentza came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Apolo Erroman could save by the left post.

In the 69th minute Elias Ereinotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Václav Filipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, La Vieja Guarida FC's Raul Quinteros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Vieja Guarida FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
